I have many great memories from my 4
years as a Conk wrestler. Although I was never the best
wrestler out on the mat, I can proudly say I improved each
year of my career, thanks to great instruction and
encouragement by my coaches and hard work put in the
practice gym. That improvement culminated in a six place
finish at the league tournament in 2008.
Outside of wrestling itself, I will
always look back fondly at the many laughs and experiences
the team shared. Whether it was in the vans traveling to
tournaments, waiting around before weigh-ins, or playing
mushroom ball at practice, I enjoyed the camaraderie of all
the teammates and coaches
One quick tidbit: I was the first
freshmen to ever wrestle a match for Kentwood High School.
Our first dual meet my freshmen year was against Enumclaw.
We started at 140 pounds and I was the JV 140 pounder.
